22 weeks

{I still need to snap a pic}

Pregnancy: 22 weeks

Weight Gain: +8 lbs

How big is baby?: An estimated 8 inches and 1 pound!

Sleep: It's gotten better since I've discovered the wonders of using a pillow behind my back for support. Pretty soon me and all my pillows are going to drive Frank out of bed!

Gender: All boy :)I bought his coming home outfit this weekend at The Children's Place. It's this adorable ivory colored one piece outfit with matching hat.

Names: He has a name! Finally! It's been such a relief, I can't tell you how stressful it was to find a name we agreed on.

Feeling: Still tired. I think that that's just how this pregnancy is going to be, because I'm sure I'm just going to feel less energized as I get bigger. I'd give anything for some of Morgan's energy.
Movement: I love watching my belly move and jump. Feeling and seeing movement, is by far the very best part of pregnancy. I've tried to get Morgan to feel the baby move, but the little one seems to get stage fright as soon as I put Morgan's hand on my belly, and Morgan doesn't have the patience yet to sit and wait for him to do something.
Belly: Slowly getting bigger. So sick of hearing that I don't look pregnant. I thought maybe I wouldn't have to deal with those comments since this is my second, but I guess my body just likes to wait until the end to pop out all at once.

on the farm

Yesterday we went to Meuer farm for a hayride. It's a lot like The Little Farmer, but with more emphasis on the corn than the apples. They have a really intricate corn maze you can go through, but we opted for the hayride. We were one of their only customers while we were there since it was a week day (I hear they're packed on the weekends), but they ran a hayride just for the 3 of us! It was the perfect day for it. The weather was gorgeous.

After the hayride, we visited the farm animals: cows, pigs, chickens...and of course Morgan's favorite, the goats! They had a giant tube slide that Morgan giggled the whole way down,
a super cool corn box (like a sand box, but filled with corn instead, and rubber duck races. We capped off our trip to the farm with a caramel apple and Lakefront Brewery (yum!) root beer.

His new thing is wearing Daddy's hats.
Aren't they adorable on him?

...but a little large and obstructive at times :)

Listening intently to the farmer telling us about the cattle.

He took advantage of being the only ones on the ride, every time the farmer stopped the ride to tell us about something he moved to  different area of the wagon.

The trees were beautiful with their changing leaves.

He found some crackers in the diaper bag...
from God knows when, but they made him happy.

 The corn box.

swim

Tonight was Morgan's first swimming lesson.
He LOVED it.
He loves the water,
the other kids,
and flashing that sweet smile and
saying "hiiii" to everyone in the class.
We can't wait to do it again next week.

After class, in his PJ's and ready to head home for bed.

A fun comparison

I found a picture of me pregnant with Morgan, dressed up for another friends wedding, wearing the same dress I wore Saturday.

I was 34 weeks pregnant with Morgan in this picture.
I can't get over how much younger I look.
Apparently he's aged me ;)

and that long hair!

And Saturday, 20 weeks pregnant with little man number two:

20 weeks...half baked!

Our little man at his anatomy scan

Belly Pic taken at 20 weeks 2 days,
before leaving for a friends wedding.

Pregnancy: 20 weeks

Weight Gain: +5 lbs

How big is baby?: He weighed in at 12 ounces at the anatomy scan ultrasound. He's getting so close to a pound. Awwww :)

Sleep: It has gotten uncomfortable with back pain and sciatic pain, so I have to sleep with a pillow between the knees now.

Gender: Another boy, re-confirmed at our anatomy scan.

Names: We still have yet to definitively name this little man yet...

Feeling: Tired.
Movement: Lots of it! I also felt hiccups for the first time and it just so happened to be during my ultrasound so I got to see him hiccuping too. I cannot even begin to explain how adorable that was, and she captured it on a video clip for us too!

Belly: Slowly getting bigger.

Next Appointment: In 4 weeks.

today

Today was a fabulous day - from start to finish.
It started off at 10:30am.
Mmmmhmmm, I got to sleep in until 10:30am.
Do I need to even begin to describe how heavenly that was?

Then my friend Brenna picked me up and we went to the gym for a lovely workout/chat session.

Later, after running some errands {oil change, and haircut for Mr. Morgan}, we headed out to Hobb's Woods.
Morgan loved it, he kept wanting to "run, run, run" on the trails and ooh'ed and ahh'ed over the creek that winds through the woods.

After working up an appetite from all that hiking and running, we went over to my parents house for dinner, s'mores, and a brief sidewalk chalk session.

Yep, we crosses two things off of our summer fun list {never mind that it's September already}. Now if only we could find a dang ice cream truck!

1. Play in a sprinkler
2. Zoo
3. Draw with sidewalk chalk
4. Wisconsin Dells
5. Make dessert on the grill
6. Bike rides
7. Bay Beach
8. Go to a flea market
9. Go to the children's museum
10. Plant flowers
11. Make homemade play-doh
12. Go for an early morning walk
13. Eat s'mores
14. Go on a day trip
15. Buy a treat from an ice cream truck

Prepare for photo overload:

sigh

I love days like today.

Friday we crossed number 2 off of our summer fun list. We didn't go to the big zoo in Madison as I had originally intended, but instead went to Menominee Park Zoo in Oshkosh. We all really enjoyed it. I think it's safe to say we all loved the monkeys the best of all the exhibits.

 Turtle

 Wolves

 Elk Watching

 Tip toes :)

The cutest monkey in the place

Oh yea, I was there too ;)
